The GV70 is an all-new model for the Genesis brand and it will be arriving summer of 2021. Luxury SUV enthusiasts will have a choice between the entry-level turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine offered exclusively on the Sport model. The four-cylinder boasts a spirited 300-hp while the V-6 offers a powerful 375-hp. All GV70 models come equipped with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission.

The interior of the GV70 raises the bar on luxury interiors. As a matter of fact, MotorTrend called the 2022 Genesis GV70 interior “world-class”. Genesis representatives say they were inspired by the shape of airplane wings when designing the two-door machine’s interior, and it is duly noted by the rounded-elliptical accents throughout the cabin. A sculpted space that feels aeronautical, embossed with high-quality materials such as Nappa leather and available microsuedes in a wide range of exotic colors, makes the cabin feel modern and refined. The cabin is furnished with touches of wood, carbon, fiber and metal for an expressive and attractive feel.

There’s no shortage of advanced technology that runs throughout the interior and exterior of the GV70. Inside, drivers will be delighted with its segment-leading 14.5-inch HD screen that is controlled by a hockey puck-like dial. The infotainment menu is simple and intuitive with impressive graphics for easy reading and navigation. The vehicle includes a full suite of technology with one cutting edge feature that cannot be overlooked — an available fingerprint authentication system that allows the owner to unlock the doors, start the engine, access customized profiles, and make payments via Genesis CarPay.

Another feature worth mentioning is the sensor system that can detect rear-seat passengers. This sleek two-row compact crossover will also come equipped with an advanced rear occupant alert. Parents rejoice! This radar-based system can detect a rear occupant’s breathing, so the worries of leaving a child or infant in the back decrease as the driver will be notified if that happens.
